Attended Hardin Simmons University one and a half years. Married Donald, lived in Tuscola , worked at McIntyre Grocery, we owned a cafe briefly, stay at home mom till children started school, started to work at First State Bank inTuscola in 1967 retired 1995.Helped write and publish 3 local history books.Member Tuscola Baptist Church, Lions Club, Rural Taylor County Aging Service board and Taylor County Historical Commission.

I do not remember this, but my classmates have told me through the years that the first day of school in the first grade, I proceeded to assign seats to the students.

Our senior class spent April 1, 1945 on Bald Eagle Mountain without food or water. Playing hookey must have been a spur of the moment idea. We knew Supt. Ted Edwards would tear us up the next day. He nor any one else said anything.
