Four Candles for You
by Unknown

The first candle represents our grief.
The pain of losing you is intense.
It reminds us of our love for you.

This second candle represents our courage.
To confront our sorrow,
To comfort each other,
To change our lives.

This third candle we light in your memory.
For the times we laughed,
The times we cried,
The times we were angry with each other,
The silly things you did,
The caring and joy you gave us.

This fourth candle we light for our love.
We light this candle that your light will always shine.

We cherish the special place in our hearts
that will always be reserved for you.
We thank you for the gift
your living brought to each of us.

We love you.
We remember you.

Shana Lowrey (Keeton) (1987)

I actually met Shannon when we both took French from Ms. Davis. We had a great friendship from the very beginning. I remember parties at her house (including the one the night before our senior trip and her "surprise" birthday party that she wasn't so surprised about), the RATT concert (didn't Stacey and Melissa go with us?), her Valedictory speech at Graduation, and lots more. She was always there for me, even after high school. We both ended up in Lubbock after high school and our good times continued.
She met Mike while they were both working at the mall (I think that's right). It was "love at first sight" for both of them! They were absolutely inseperable! He adored her.
It was sad that she was taken from us so early in life, but God had a special plan for her and called her home. And she is with her dad again.

You were a very special friend. I miss you.
Shana
