Jeff was a great team member and a loyal high school friend. The news of his death today was an unpleasant surprise. I do hope he is in a better place and that he continued to contribute to his life and others as he did while I knew him back in high school. My best wishes to his family on the loss in their lives as well as all those whom he impacted.

your old friend,

Eric

I'm shocked and unbelievably saddened by this news. Jeff and I were good friends in High School. Even though we didn't keep up our communication a few years after graduation we both took experiences with us of that great friendship.
I still see Jeff in that immortal state of youthfulness... full of drive, vigor and ambition. Waiting to take on the world.
I'm glad I have the memory of those characteristics that defined him so individually to carry with me. He was an amazing friend who listened and had good and encouraging words to say at any given time.
My heart felt condolences go out to his family. I pray God's blessings upon your lives and a peace that only a Supernatural love can supply to a natural heart.

My most sincere and warmest regards,

Mark Soderwall

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Jeff's passing when looking around on this site. 20 years ago, Jeff was one of a group of about seven of us who spent most of our free time together at lunch, after school, and during weekends and summer vacations.

A few memories of Jeff...

I remember the gang hanging out at his house and using his pool on many a hot, summer Tustin day.

I remember him assuring me that he could do a professional window tinting job on my '88 Celica for a fraction of a professional's cost. The day was... a TOTAL comedy of errors. I distinctly remember this one gigantic air bubble that he just couldn't get out; All he could do was push it around from one part of the window to another. Finally, he took out an exacto knife and just sliced through the middle of it saying, "Nobody will notice this." =)

I remember barreling down Newport Ave. at lunchtime on most days, a bunch of guys in his car and a bunch in mine, tossing things back and forth at each other through the windows and the sunroofs.

I remember driving with Jeff to the beach during the summer, cruising on 55 South in the carpool lane, half hanging out the window, pointing and laughing at all the cars who were barely moving in the traffic-clogged lanes to the right.

And so many more great memories. My deepest condolences go out to Jeff's family.

Jeff was one of my best friends that I miss the most. He got me to see people the way they are. After our last reunion, we started to hang out.I was there for his wedding day and I met his newborn son for the first time. I remember Jeff and we would hang out, talk about Foothill and where we had gone. The last thing I said to him was, " I'm getting married and you have to come. I also told him, " Lets go fishing this week and he said, " I am there for the wedding but going to ride my motorcycle. To this day, I still think of him as one of my best friends.

Jeff you are still missed
