Just this last October, Sharon attended our Class of 1970 girls' reunion out at my farm. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to visit with her for a good long time. Looking back, I really treasure that conversation. She mentioned that she was on the kidney transplant list. She was an elegant woman dressed in her cowboy boots that day, happy with who she was, and with a certain grace and gentleness. We were classmates at Birdwell Elementary School together and my first memories of Sharon are from there. We will miss her.
Susan, I am also glad we had that time with Sharon at your farm. She was a great addition to our mini-girlfriends' reunion. I have fond memories of her from Hogg and Robert E. Lee. She left way too soon. Her comment about Mimi dying too early became sadly ironic. Sharon will be missed!
