Sharon Kay Thedford (Miss Birdie) Taylor passed from this life Dec. 29, 2008, at the age of 57, in Dallas Parkland Hospital. Sharon was a loving Wife, Mom and Grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Sharon had been employed at The Villages on Lake Palestine for many years and was loved by her co-workers

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall (Buddy) and Betty Joe Thedford; sister, Marsha Spivey; and niece, Heather Cross.

She is survived by husband of 23 years James Glenn (Birdie) Taylor of Noonday; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Ann and Scott Ray of Noonday; brother, David Thedford of Tyler; children, James Daniel Taylor and April Edwards; grandchildren, Calob James Taylor, Nathan and Amber Edwards; sister-in-law and husband, Johnnie and Ron Engledow of Star Harbor; nieces and nephews, Shelby Ray, Amy Lynn Hopkins, Karen Shelton, Lisa Belyue and Joe Don Thornton; several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Jo Don Thedford, David Edwards, Tex Dyer, Scott Ray, Jimmy Vance and Rex Shaffer.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Noonday Cemetery with Rev. Park Robertson officiating under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
