John H. Batchelor Jr., age 59, of Arena, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL following a short illness.
He was born on August 7, 1956 at Fort Knox, KY to John H. and Patsy (Hall) Batchelor.
He graduated from Union Grove High School in 1974 where he was a very good football player.
John lived in the Arena area for 14 years where he was employed as a truck driver for Deboer Trucking Company.
He is survived by his brothers, Richard Batchelor of Layton, UT, Daniel Batchelor of Arena, and William (Julie) Batchelor of Burlington; an adopted cousin, Ralph Hall Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL; nephews Jared and Bryan Batchelor; uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and an adopted cousin Kevin Hall.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home, 104 Fremont St., Boscobel, WI 53805 with Rev. Gary Young officiating and inurnment at the Boscobel Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the V.F.W. Hall. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
