Bob Studey

Obituary: Robert D. Studey Jr.

He was born on January 8, 1958, in Racine, he was the son of the late Robert D. Studey Sr. and Darlene (nee: Lidholm) Fuerstenau. His mother survives him.

He was educated in the local schools and lived his entire life in the Union Grove area. Farming was the love of his life and he began working with his father at the age of six. Every spring he would drive tractor helping out his friend Eddie Peterson. He loved the Spring season and would look forward to it every year.

He was working as a heavy equipment operator until the time of a car accident in 1978. He loved four wheeling, camping, football, and was an avid Packers Fan. He also enjoyed gardening.

Even after the accident left him in a wheel chair, Butch would get around and would do more things to enjoy life then most people could imagine. He was a very strong willed man and accomplished everything he set out to do. He will be forever and greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Darlene (Allen) Fuerstenau; two brothers, David (Leslie) Studey of Michigan, Mark Studey of Union Grove, his sister and caregiver Kathy Goldbeck, and sister Patti Studey, both of Union Grove, niece Tanyia Steinke, nephews Dan Steinke and Hans Studey, and his beloved dog Inga, as well as many other friends and family, all will miss him.

He was preceded in death by his father, his brother-in-law Artie Goldbeck, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins, as well as his K-9's Sara, Lee, and Sharleea.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Yorkville United Methodist Church in Union Grove.
