Obituary: Paul Kenneth 'Tuna' Tuinstra
He was born June 12, 1958, in Racine, to Kenneth and Jean (nee: Maurice Keeler) Tuinstra. He spent his early life in Union Grove.
He attended Union Grove High School and served in the United States Army from 1977 until 1980. Paul worked in construction and as a bartender throughout his life. He was a devoted friend and a huge Packer fan.
Survivors include his son, Dale Tuinstra of New York; step-father, Patrick Keeler of Union Grove; brother, Chet (Dominique) Tuinstra of Burlington; sister, Sandy (Mark) Schiller of Hebron, Ill.; step-sisters, Tammy Graceffa of Racine and Terre (Tony) Wilhoite of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and nieces and nephews, Luke, Phillip, Markie, Thor, Mia, Taylor, Adam, Chaz, and Race. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, from 5 until 7 p.m. with a "Sharing of Memories" at 7 p.m. Private burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Burlington VFW Post 2823.
