Jacquelyn “Jackie” L. Zachar, 66, of Union Grove, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin on October 2, 1957, she was the daughter of Donald and Miriam (nee Turner) Olson. Her early life was spent in Union Grove, where she graduated from Union Grove High School Class of 1975 and earned her associate’s degree from Gateway Tech. On May 16, 2003, she was united in marriage to James Zachar. Following marriage, they made Union Grove their home.

Jackie worked as a CAD designer for Modine Mfg. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, gardening and photography and was an Indian motorcycle enthusiast.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Nicole Teloh, Daniel McCaske and step-son Jason Zachar; grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor Ann, Zachariah, Aaron, Aidan, Liam and Emma; sister, Sherry Watson; brother and sister-in-law John (Peggy) Zachar, along with niece Kari, cousins Jo Ellen and Kie Ellen, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Jerome “DJ” Olson and step-daughter Ann Zachar.
