Jeffrey Dean passed away in 2017. His wife Rochelle Thames Dean, is also an alumni of University City High School. Jeff had cancer at the time of his death, but he will continue to live in our hearts for ever. Rest in Heaven Jeff - you are surely missed.

Greetings: I've extended an overall thank you to the entire UC High School Alumni in 2017, however, to the UC High School Class of 1978, as your classmate and widow of my beloved husband and our classmate Jeffrey Dean, again I want to relay my sincere thanks, for all the acts of kindess, expressions of sympathy, etc., shown to my family and I, when Jeff transitioned to his heavenly home (February 2017).  My prayer is that God will enrich and bless all of you and your families. Until we meet again at the 40th UC Class Reunion celebration, peace and blessings UC class of 78. - Rochelle Thames-Dean

Being a part of the coaching staff at UCHS this year made me have many thoughts about Jeff and I when we ran the court together. I just pause and smile sometimes. What a quality brother Jeff, was. The one person who became a best friend when I moved heere from Dallas, Tx., in 1968. He remained a friend until the time of his transition and I still call him FRIEND.

I first met Jeffrey through my father-both his father and my father were fraternity brothers and friends.  Jeffrey was always positive and accepting of everyone. Later we were  fraternity brothers and although we had lost touch through the years, we were always glad to see each other in the years following college. Rest well my brother...

Jeffrey was always an encourager. I played basketball with him on one of the eighth grade intramural teams at Hanley Junior High. I was learning about the game. He would never let me get down on myself if I didn't play well. My father really admired him for it. Glad that he was a part of my life.

My condolences to Rochelle and his entire family.  Jeff was a nice guy with a great sense of humor.  We met in 4th grade at University Forest and lost touch after graduation.  My last memory of Jeff is at my brother Lincoln’s funeral in January 2015; he gave me a big hug and was very kind.
