On February 26, 2014, Dick passed away in Ft. Myers, Florida. He is survived by his parents, Alfred and Ida, and anunt and uncle Sylvia and Erwin Voit and many cousins. Dick was recently retired from The Del Tura Golf and Country Club where he worked in the Pro Shop. No services currently will be held. There will be a mass during Easter Vigil on April 19, 2014 at 8:25 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Parish, 20115 North Tamiami Trail, NFM.

I remember Dick as a sweet, gracious, good-humored guy who was both pleasant to be with and easy to be around. While the intervening fifty years make it difficult for me to recall specific instances that substantiate these personal impressions, they are nonetheless as clear to me today as they were in those years when we saw each other in school all the time. He enjoyed people, and people enjoyed being his friend. I certainly did. God bless you, Dick.
