I have many fond memories of Tommy Kelsey.  He lived on Coventry Road, down a few blocks from me.  He was our paperboy and carry-out boy at Flick's IGA on Arlington Mall, so he knew our whole family.  During the summer before 7th grade I was riding my bicycle on Coventry Road one day when Tommy came up behind me, and clowning around, cut in front of me catching the front wheel of my bicycle.  I fell, caught myself with my left hand and broke my wrist!  This was in front of Tommy Decker's house.  Tommy's family had a weekend house at Hide-A-Way Hills, as we did, so we hung around down there on weekends, and we went to Senior Prom together, just as good friends.  I will miss seeing Tommy.

I remained strong friends with Tom after graduation and was in his wedding.

His death, while no surprise, greatly saddened me.  Tom was the most enthusiastic, life loving person I have ever known.  He embraced life, his family and his friends.  His tenacity and will to live was incredible.

I will miss him.
