I was sad to hear of Luther's passing. He was such a kind and friendly guy. I remember when we were in grade school,  he could do a fantastic imitation of a city bus putting on the brakes. Rest In Peace, Luther.

.Sharon, that must have been Mrs Hammond's 6th grade class. Not only could he mimic ALL the sounds a bus made, he was an incredible artist. While I drew stick figures, he drew life like characatures. We were the best of friends I think because we were both nerdy! In 7th grade we ate lunch on the Jones mallway and then would walk over to the drugstore to buy "Wacky Placks".

I remember being in Luther's section at Jones (7-14 or 8-3?).  During a class conversation when we were talking about what we'd like to be when we grew up, Luther told us he wanted to be a bus driver.
