Urbandale - Michael "Mikey" Knapp, 24, passed away Monday November 30th, 2020 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday December 10th, 2020 at 1p.m. at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines. The service will be live-streamed on Iles website. Michael was born August 23, 1996 in Des Moines to John and Tami (Anderson) Knapp.

Michael was a specialist in the US Army currently serving at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was a member of the A326 Brigade Engineer battalion, 1st Brigade Combat team, 101st Airborne Division.

Mikey lived life to the fullest and was happiest spending time with those he loved. He was always the life of the party, and there was never a dull moment when he was around. Michael is survived by his parents, John and Tami Knapp, his siblings Katie Knapp and John Knapp Jr, both of Des Moines, and his grandparents, Lloyd and Pat Anderson of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Margaret "Meg" Knapp.
