I ran into Luis while living in Jackson. I would guess sometime around 2000. At the time he was living in Parma with his wife. I think they had just gotten married. He was still so full of life. Just really talkative and happy.
My best bud in high school. Went to his funeral in late 1999. I was pregnant with my middle child and it was a lousy yucky cold rainy day. He and his wife resided in Jackson, MI. She had a young son from previous marriage. They came to visit me in the hospital the day after the ten year class reunion. I had just given birth to my first child. He had stopped by Waterford and ate lunch with my family just before he died. He would want his life to be remembered by his relationship in Jesus Christ.
I remember always having fun in art class with Luis. He always had something kind to say, and he was very creative. I missed him when he was absent from class and enjoyed his company. He'll live in my heart...

Luis was the little guy with the big lungs to play that baritone. We met in band of course. I always picture him smiling! So sweet!Anne Ogilvy (Kukla)
