Joseph Robert Rainey - Born July 26, 1972 - Died April 13 2000

He passed away April 13, 2000 of a heart condition known as a dilated cardiomyopathy. (Signs and Symptoms of  cardiomyopathy )

Joe was buried in the Roselawn Park Cemetery on 12 mile and Woodward.  Joe had not been sick and he had no clue to his enlarged heart. He never married, but he did have a brother James, and three sisters, Julie Ann, Jeana Jo, and Jennifer Joy.  His father had passed away the year earlier.

Joe played in the band at Utica and he also played tuba for his college band. He was student teaching and attending college to become an elementary school teacher. Joe received "Student of the Year" award for 1998. He also enjoyed weight lifting, horseback riding and teaching young children to play basketball.  All who knew him are better people now just from knowing him and the life he lived. -
