
Mrs. Josephine L. (Rybka) Marron, age 69, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Utica on March 19, 1941, a daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Chojnacka Rybka. Educated in local schools, she was a Utica Catholic Academy graduate. On July 2, 1977 she was joined in marriage to Louis Marron in St. Louis Gonzaga Church, a blessed union of 33 years. Josephine also graduated from the Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Chicago, IL and won numerous contests for her exceptional cake decorating abilities. She was a cake decorator locally for over 50 years, and was once employed by Star Bakery, Holland Farms, and Chanatry’s Market. Surviving are her beloved husband Louis; her sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Jim Callahan of Utica; two brothers, Richard Rybka of Ogdensburg, and Edwin Rybka of AZ; in-laws, Sharon Marron, Charise and Kenneth Allen Jr., and Edward and Mary Marron; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear friends, Leo and Ethel Schega. Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Her funeral service will be immediately following at the conclusion of visiting hours at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery
