Thank you Mrs. Olson, for teaching me to twirl a baton, for giving me a group to belong to during some very tough childhood years, for comforting me when my own mother died and working me even harder when I showed up to practice the day after she passed. Thank you for helping me to grow up and teaching me the importance of standing up straight and pointing my toes, the importance of teamwork and comraderie. ...and especially thank you for dedicating your life to working with, teaching and helping youth. We will all miss you.
