Hey Guys. Since the good old days of traveling the world with the Beefeaters I have been out hustling gigs. I often say if i was born 100 years ago rather than 50 I would have been a contender. These days as a working trumpet player 2 or 3 gigs a month is busy!
I graduated from UBC with a music degree in 79 ( hmm I should have just bought all of Miles' records, some good scotch & locked myself in a room for 4 years). I spent about 22 years in a great relationship with Brenda Kay the singer with my band.
Since 86 I have operated Total Entertainment Network-the agency does about 30 corporate gigs a month so I keep alot of musicians busy.
The last 5 years I have a new lady in my life Ellen Bornowsky. We just bought a new house in South Surrey (13 rooms plus 5 bathrooms!)... I'm thinking the key to living with a trumpet player is to have a really big house.
I have a rehearsal tonight with Jamie Croil-kinda like old times to play beside him again. I hope our other band mates are doing well & our paths will cross.
