Joanne Ruth Pfeifer September 12, 1960 - June 28, 2016 

Joanne passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital due to a brief illness. She is survived by her husband Mark, her daughter Julia, mother Ruth, sisters Suzanne and Deardrie. Joanne was predeceased by her father David Hazlewood in 2007. She was born and raised in Vancouver, and moved to Richmond after marrying Mark in 1984. Joanne had recently retired from WorkSafe BC in January 2016 after serving a successful thirty-six year career. She was an avid fan of the Food Network and other cooking shows, and enjoyed playing a variety of games and listening to music. She will be greatly missed. A private gathering for family will be held at a later date. No flowers please.
