I'll always remember Brian sitting outside of Mr. Bowman's classroom every morning just before home room. Had some good times chatting and passing away the time with the group that was always there each morning. Thanks for your friendship Brian.

I became friends with Brian in Grade 1 at Southlands Elementary School Annex. We rode our bikes together and played war at his place using rolled up socks (aka sock-bombs). We had lego competitions and moved on to more sophisticated strategy games. I would ski with Brian, but he was way out of my league. Some of the best days of my life were skiing with Brian and his brother Gordon and their Dad. We maintained a freindship through high-school and university and drifted apart when I moved to Ottawa. I was so saddened by Brian's death. Up until that time I wasn't aware of having lost any of my contemporaries. It was a somewhat aging experience. I think of Brian from time to time. I hope he is somewhere with perpetual snow covered mountains.
