PINOCCHIO

"Pinocchio", presented in April provided a complete change of pace from "The Miracle Worker". The story is a well-known fairy-tale, but the open script allowed director and actors the opportunity to use their inventive powers freely to build scenes creatively as they worked on them, and to add scenes and episodes of their own invention. The result was a spectacular and completely charming production which left adjudicator Myra Benson "amazed and breathless" by its colour, scope and magnitude.
