I am very sorry to let our Class of 1966 know that Jim Donnelly passed away on April 3rd, 2021. Jim was predeceased by his wife, Shirley, and his beautiful daughter, Stephanie. He leaves behind his sons, Matthew, Andrew and Jeffrey, and his brother, Grant (Killarney High School).
Jimmy will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a kind, loving, bear of a man who brought joy and love to all who had the good fortune to know him.
I met Jimmy at Norquay Elementary and we have been steadfast friends all these many years. After school Jim moved to Victoria to start his apprenticeship and career as an electrician. I moved to Victoria in 1979 and our families remained close for all those years. I will miss him greatly.

Thank you for your post Sandy. Jim was not a close friend of mine while at school but I remember him as a quiet young man who seemed self assured and knew what he wanted to do. Happy to know his life contained a career, family, and life long friends. May memories of happy times spent together bring comfort to all who loved him.
