

PARKER _ RON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, dedicated father and true friend. Ron Parker was born on September 17, 1947 in Vancouver and passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2006. Ron battled cancer and amazed everyone with his strength, courage and will to live. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Deborah and children Chad (Joanne), Jeff (Bea), Shannon (Trevor) and Cole (Jasmine). He will be deeply missed by his nine grandchildren, Jesse, Kadriye, Victoria, Vanessa, Evan, Jordana, Izabella, Andrew and Cole Jr., as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Charles and his brother Bill, leaving to mourn are his brothers Chuck, George and sister Barbara Ron will be remembered for his love of life and dedication to family and friends. He was strong in character, yet gentle, respected others and touched countless lives by his ability to make everyone feel important. A celebration of Ron's life will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, Thursday, August 31 at 10:00 am at 690 Burrard Street, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Paraplegic Foundation of which Ron was a Member on the Board for 20 years.
