Judith Serena (Slind) Curle
Obituary

CURLE _ Judith Serena (nee Slind) It is with a profound sense of loss and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Judith Serena Curle on June 18, 2007. Judie was born in Montreal, Quebec on June 16, 1949. Her sons recall fond memories of days spent at the beach, wonderful meals made with care, and her nurturing, loving nature (not to mention her wicked sense of humor). Her passion for literature was apparent throughout her life as she quietly exercised enormous talent in writing and editing. Her great love of animals began from childhood and Judie's 2 cats; Ben and Nibbler, as well as her dog Jazz will miss her very much. She was a force to be reckoned with in the game of Melderman. Her absence at the card table will always be especially felt by her "little buddy" Carol. Judie was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Lloyd Slind, and her dear friend Stuart Wallace. Judie is survived and deeply missed by her 3 sons Ian, Jordan and Gerry, her husband John, his other sons Anthony and Darren , as well as her siblings Jon, Sandra, Stuart and his wife Margit She is sadly missed by her brother and sister-in-law, Gerry and Maureen Curle. Aunt Judie will be missed by her nieces and nephews; Aine, Selena, Daniel, Taiya, Lily, Frank, William and Vanessa. The loss of an amazing friend is a sorrow to all the people Judie held close to her heart. Although Judie's passing was sudden, she was in hands of tremendous care with the amazing staff at Lions Gate Hospital, Palliative Care. Thank you so much to all of you. In life and through to the end, Judie showed enormous bravery and courage. Judie, you will always be missed, but we know you'll always be near. Thank you for touching us all with your love and grace. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to the SPCA. A gathering to celebrate Judie's life will be announced in the near future. F
