I have some fond memories of Michael Harsanyi. I remember playing “touch” football at Stonequarry Elementary with him and the other guys. For a number of years we rode the bus together and shared a seat. At that time, the great fear was a Russian nuclear attack. His father even built and stocked a nuclear bomb shelter behind their house on Dogleg Rd. So naturally, as morbid as it may sound, a lot of our interest and conversation on the bus, was about surviving the Nuclear Attack, and how we would survive after it. Some practical, some fiction, and a lot of fantasy. In high school, we went to summer school a couple of years, and our mothers took turns driving us.
