Connie was our first classmate to leave us, and it made me sad, for she had THAT smile and laugh which was infectious. We played tennis @ Helke in her final few years... I won't forget her.
Neither will I, my children have heard a little of our fun (censoring Hara Arena exploits for them). She showed us how to live - with energy, hopeful enthusiasm, love and patience with others. She was an angel and no wonder too short for this earth. Her legacy lives on with the scholarship at Miami, I believe, and in our hearts always. Funny how you can miss people decades (even centuries now) and it still hurts fresh...some hurts don't heal but that's life and moving on regardless of wanting to without her smiling eyes and laughter.
