I've been wanting to this for a while and procrastinated, maybe because it makes it real.
Connie and I instantly became friends in high school probably because we were both shy and quiet. She was one of my best friends throughout school and stayed in contact for several years after. She got married soon after graduating to someone in the Air Force. She raised four beautiful children while stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii.
I went to visit her in Hawaii once right before she had her fourth baby and she was happy and loved her kids to no end. We lost touch soon after that and I tried several times to reconnect with no luck. Thanks to Facebook I was able to find her sister and couple years ago and found out the sad news.
I will always remember her for her infectious laugh and smile.
