Darryl was the first friend I made when I moved to Victoria and attended Crain Jr High in the 8th grade...coming to Texas from Niagara Falls, N.Y. was a "cultural shock" and people like Darry, Clarence Batts, Ronnie Sirmon, and other local "riffraff 'were kind enough to help me thru this bizarre transition, lol.  We were the "highdiving clowns" at Pleasure Island in the summer, first ones in line for the dances at TAC or The Westerner on Friday nights, attended each other's weddings, mutual military stints during the 60's...Darryl, you will be missed!

There are never any adequate words to properly express the feelings of loss when friends and classmates are called home to be with The Heavenly Father but this is our reward that comes to us all in the end.

I have many wonderful, pleasant memories of our times together, every one a treasure bought and paid for in full in coin only those who were there know of. Thank you for the friendship we shared in the good times as well as the bad, one that has withstood the test of time with the knowledge you will truly be missed by many you were not aware of. It is said that an individual is like a ship and both can only be measured by the storms they both have endured through their presence here on this earth. In this you have surpassed the test of time.

May the peace of The Lord be with you always, may you rest in eternal peace until the earth and seas give up their dead as the fulfillment of His promised return to claim His Kingdom He left in our care, Amen

Peace be with you, Amen

In His Service
