Carroll was that special type of friend who stayed connected through time. We could always pick up our conversation like we had talked just yesterday. Our tradition was to call each other on our birthdays. When Carroll was in the hospital and too ill to call me on my last birthday, she had her daughter call for her. Our lives crossed through high school, college, and even when our careers took us to the Washington, D. C. area. Carroll was looking forward to our reunion and was planning a "houseparty" for Angie and me. I will dearly miss Carroll.
Carroll was a sweet and special spirit. We enjoyed each other's company in high school, and her parents were especially kind, as well. What wonderful memories she leaves behind!
