How very sad!  I remember John fondly as very bright, friendly, and happy .  I just wished him a happy birthday, not knowing the sad news.

Enjoyed knowing and being a friend of John ... Little League/teen-age baseball (including left-handed "home run derby" at the Little League fields as teenagers), shooting baskets in his driveway, poker at his home, firecracker wars at the railroad trestle on Spring Creek Road, going rabbit hunting at Jim Kuykendall’s home (John was the only person I ever knew that had a lever-action 30-30 with a scope!) … many fond memories.  I just sent him an email for his birthday...hard to believe he is gone.  l remember John when I remember Victoria.

John was a good guy.  Sorry to hear of his passing.  John was in the same 7th grade homeroom as I was (Mrs Garrett I think).  It was my first year in Texas.  I distinctly remember John's southern draw, followed by 5 years of VHS friendship. My thoughts to his family.

He and I spent so much time together,  Over night stays and youth baseball, just never got enough.  Good things to remember and smile about.

When I think of John the first thing that comes to my mind is his smile.  He was always nice to me when we had classes together over the years.  He was smart, polite and had a great personality.  He will certainly be missed.  My condolences to his family for their loss.
