I am now retired and spend most of my time at a little beach house on Galveston Island. I served in the Army Natl. Guard with 18 mo. active duty. I worked as a deputy sheriff in Victoria Co. for about 2 yrs., 18 wheeler driver for 2 yrs., home remodeling for 2 yrs. and worked at the Johnson Space Center for 39 yrs. in entry level positions up to system manager & staff engineer in a telemetry data retrieval & processing system & a metal fab. & electronics fab. & repair center supporting every manned flight (except the Apollo/Soyuz flight) from Gemini 3 (March 1965) to Shuttle STS-126 in Nov. 2008. I have worked as a journeyman welder and owned a bar in a dry city. During this time I have had (actually my wife's had them) a girl & boy from one marriage and a boy & girl from another marriage and have 3 grand-sons &1 great grandson & 2 grand-daughters. I have also graduated from a jr. college, attended electronics tech. school, have a commercial pilots license, amatuer radio licensed & SCUBA certified. Have several NASA awards for work performed on the Apollo 13 flight, Shuttle STS-51-L (Challenger) disaster and assisted principal investigator responsible for all lunar seismic data evaluation during the Apollo program. Regardless of life experiences, my fondest memories are of my brothers and sisters in the VHS band. From my point of view it always seemed that the band kids were treated a little different from the other school population but it didn't matter to us because we had each other and did our own thing which included numerous band trips to competitions, out of town parades & ball games, concerts & some even played in dance bands on Fri. & Sat. nights. Through this time the band kids have remained close. This was a unique experience & I Love you all! There seems to be a few years that I can't account for and believe I was lost somewhere. Maybe thats when the alians took me.
