Minutes Meeting of 40th Reunion Organizing Committee for the Class of 73

Treasurer - Gerald Schilhab 10 couples had paid and committee if we're able to get the minimum of 40 couples our expenditures should be covered. He need to get commitment count from Internet as well as
monies collected.
Gerald ask to have Phillip phone him that the counts and monies be consolidated.
Golf Tournament - Louis Ybarra 10 men had signed up his expectation is to have 40 players. Louis ask that the next time we put a notification in the paper to make mention of the tournament, talk with Mega reunion organizers have them advertise the event also with his name and contact info.
Decorations- Mary Herron Mary has set a budget of 200 dollars to arrange the facility she has created a
banner and did to talk with Philip and or Claude regarding pictures that she would like to use as center
pieces for tables. She currently looking for volunteers to help Cynthia Hogan volunteer Mary will contact another person she hopes will help.
Outreach and Phone banking - Sylvester Thomas Sylvester reported that he emailed multiple time to
members on Classmates.com today there are 96 members that have not acknowledge there mail.
Six verbal yes to coming.
Gerald confirmed the musical entertainment he also spoke with Jeff Cano regarding BIG BIG flat screen
which he has one, wanted to know if a Projections screen would work.

It was discssed how important it was for all to prepay the reunion so we could beable to plan on expenditures.
We spoke of advertising in the program for services and contributions. Claude Cash photographic services will be advertised and he will also have a table should he desire.
Philip Vasquez paid the $500 rental for the Hall.
Next meeting is Saturday May 11.

We reviewed place (Club Westerner), caterer (Mumphords).
It was stressed that we needed to get more classmates to sign up with website and all have been invited to apply.
It was pointed out that a joint class and joint school, Stroman Victoria High and St. Joe Golf Tournament the morning of the 20th ar Riverside Golf Course. Look for page on Golf Tournament on Web Site.
All are encouraged to click on "Donate" button and prepay for reunion or send check to Gerald Shihab.

On Friday Oct. 5, 2012 the first meeting for the organizing committee for the Class of '73 was held at Hungry's and Thirsty's at 7 pm.

The discussion was for a celebration of the 40th anniversary of our graduation from Stroman High School.
Date:
It was noted that a "Stroman High School Mega Reunion" is planned for next summer on July 20, 2013 (confirmed) and that it would be best to have our reunion function to coincide with the "Mega Reunion". Therefore it was proposed and accepted that our function to be scheduled on the Friday evening preceding the "Mega Reunion" in the evening of July 19th.
Theme: "The Way We Were", reminiscing about how we were, things we did, fashions we wore.

Stroman High school gym but withdrawn as the realization that no alcohol would be allowed
(possibly we can arrange a tour of the school, before the Friday reception.

Place disposable cameras at each table for candid shots.
Collect cameras at end of event and place on a website for all to view.
Souvenir Booklet with ads to off- set expenses.

Give attendees a momento (paperweight, coffee mug, etc.
Have Video of school pictures and activities (can use pictures from class mates and yearbook) playing in the background. Also, show "then and now" photos.
