Barbara Howze (Trapp)

Barbara Gail (Howze) Trapp, 68, of Waxahachie, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 14 at Wade Funeral Chapel with Dr. James Smith and Rev. Tim Chane officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at the funeral home.

Barbara was born September 21, 1952 in Dallas to William Daniel “Bill” Howze and Ruby Nadine (Dollar) Howze.  She was raised in the Central Texas area and was a graduate of Waco High School where she was a member of the Junior ROTC. Barbara later attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie.  She worked as a phlebotomist for many years for various medical clinics and insurance companies before retiring due to health reasons.  Although she had held several working positions over the years, she always felt her true calling in life was as the wife of a Pastor and as a Prayer Warrior.  Barbara was a member of House of Praise Church of God in Corsicana.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Nadine Howze; a brother, Bobby Howze and a son, Thomas Daniel Parker, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Corbit Trapp of Waxahachie; daughter, Belinda (Parker) Jett and husband, Tim of Corsicana; brother, Danny Howze and wife, Tina of Bossier City, Louisiana; two sisters, Linda (Howze) Barber and husband Kenneth, Sr. of Corsicana and Sherry (Howze) Seay and husband, David of China Spring; nine grandchildren including Chris Trapp and wife, Amber of Waxahachie; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Tony McRae, Kenneth Barber, Jr., Chris Trapp, Robert Stephens, Israel Stephens and Colby Stephens.
