Colleen was a fun person to be around. I remember her as one with a great sense of humor and of being "vivacious". She talked me into taking her all the way home one night from the downtown library. Her method was one of deviousness. She knew I was dating a Richfield girl and she knew also that Denise Demonney lived in my neighborhood. She talked Mr. Reluctant into giving her a ride in my old 1960 Volkswagon to Denise's house or so I thought. When we got there she asked if I could take her to another friends house which was a few blocks further. We got there and she said that I might as well take her home which was a short distance futher.

I was paranoid that my girlfriend would find out that I was driving another girl around. We parked in her driveway and she proceeded to tell me that I should be dating Waco High girls. I honestly think I was sweating at that point...I am not sure from what...but it made me quite nervous.

I kept up with her a bit through her mother as my sons went through Lake Air Junior High where she was principal. Judging by Colleen's Facebook page, she continued to endear herself to many throughout her life.

Dear Crazy friend,

I had no idea that you had left us.  Although Idid not keep up with you directly after high school I always knew something of you from time to time.  We had some fun times and lots of laughs.  I will always remember sleep overs with Debbie, Leah, Denise, etc.  Your mom always covered for us!  May you rest in peace and may we meet again in heaven.

                              Your friend,

What a crazy, fun person she always was.  There was never a dull moment when she was around.  Too bad she did not have any children to pass along that vivacious personality and that beautiful red hair.

Colleen was my friend in 5th and 6th grade.   When we attended north junior she found other friends as did I.   She had a purpose to her life that she knew very young.   I remember her parent, her family, very close to each other.   Her mom was very close to her.   I'm sorry to find she'd passed.  I'm sure she gsve a lot to everyone she knew.
