Paula Ann Henkel Gonzales of Waco entered Heaven's gate Monday, February 9, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Benjamin Magnaye officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and the Prayer Service will begin 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel.

Paula was born January 26, 1970, in Waco, Texas, to Roy and Annie Henkel. After graduating from University High, she was a lifelong Trojan. She switched to a Panther fan after her children started attending Midway schools. She was a devoted daughter, loving wife, a doting mother and a dedicated friend to many. Paula was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was such a giving person that even at the very end, Paula gave her eye tissues, affording someone the gift of sight.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Felix Gonzales.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Carlos Gonzales; daughters, BriAnna (Breezy) Gonzales and Courtney Saulters; son, Major Gonzales; brothers, John Henkel and David Henkel; uncle, Johnny Capetillo and wife, Virgie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Victor Lopez, Vincent Lopez, Robert Harn, Mark Torres, John David (JD) Henkel, Jackson Henkel, Rickey Tovar and Rickey Gonzales.
