Taught 5th and 6th grade math, vocabulary and social studies at St. Louis Catholic School in Waco.

I remember going to the convent on weekends to get the key to the gym, so a group of us could play basketball.

I remember the senior play "The Rebel's Revenge".

I remember going to football games out of town.

I remember the teachers, especially Sr. Walter Marie, Sr. Margaret Ruth, Sr. Shawn Marie, and Father Leonard Leddy.

After I got my Master's degree in American History and a teaching credential from the University of Texas, I went to work for the Brazos River Authority. I worked there for 28 years, moving from Assistant to the General Manager to Information and Support Division Manager.

When I left the Authority, I went to St. Louis Catholic School, looking for a job, because I knew that John Vasek was the Principal. The only position available was teaching 5th and 6th grade math (math was not one of my strong subjects). I taught there for about 12 years and then retired.
