ALBANY – Ronald David Helton (“David”), 65, of Albany died Tuesday, August 05, 2014 in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Stasney’s Cook Ranch Headquarters, 5 miles north of Albany on FM 1084.

David was born in McLennan, Texas on July 24, 1949. He was the only child of John David and Imogene “Jean” (Mesaros) Helton. David received his undergraduate and Juris Doctorate law degree from Baylor University. He served as a Judge Advocate General in the U.S. Air Force then followed a course charted by his great-great-great grandfather, Judge J.K. Helton as a dedicated corporation lawyer. In recent years, David worked primarily for H.R. Stasney & Sons, Ltd. doing title work on the Cook Ranch in Albany, Texas. David was an avid photographer and Baylor Bears fan!
