Vera A. Mehollin (nee Welty), 79, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Rittman Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a nine-month illness.
Mrs. Mehollin was born in Pandora, Ohio, and resided in Wadsworth 57 years. She received her B.S. degree in mathematics from Bowling Green University, and was a mathematics teacher at Wadsworth High School, retiring in 1979 with 17 years service. She was a member of the Wadsworth First Christian Church, Sorosis, Parmi Nous, and a volunteer at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital and emergency room.
Mrs. Mehollin is survived by husband, Harry, to whom she was married 57 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Don Cooper of Oakland, Calif., Janet and Joseph Sheppherd of Bend, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Kerry of Worthington, Ohio; grandson, Jason Mehollin of Worthington; and brother, Myron Welty of Pensacola, Fla. She was preceded in death by parents, Christian and Elva Welty; brother, David Welty; and step-father, Homer Zimmerly.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6 to 9 p.m., at the Hilliard Cox Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Funeral services Wednesday, 11 a.m., at First Christian Church, Boyer at High Street, Wadsworth, Rev. James L. Singleton officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
