WADSWORTH -- Gary L. Petty, 49, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 3, 1996.

Born in Akron, Mr. Petty resided in Wadsworth for 23 years. He was a graduate of Kent State University and a business teacher, coach and senior class advisor for Wadsworth City Schools for 28 years. He will be best remembered as a loyal husband to wife, Barbara (nee Carson), for 28 years and father to sons, Eric of Cincinnati and Scott of Wadsworth.

The family will receive friends TONIGHT, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hilliard Cox Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., Rev. Carol A. Cutting officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park.
