WADSWORTH -- Arthur L. 'Sarge' Baldwin, 68, died unexpectedly April 13 1990 at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
Sarge was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and resided in Wadsworth 30 years. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving in World War II, and a member of the Wadsworth First Christian Church and American Legion Post 170. He was band director at Wadsworth High School for 26 years, retiring in 1982.
Sarge was the much-loved husband of Sally; loving father of daughters, Lori Anne and husband, Greg Witschey of Ellicott City, Md., Teri Jean and husband, Jim Miller of Wadsworth; son, Mark and wife, Nan of Rough and Ready, Calif. son of Arthur W. of Akron and the late Irene; brother of Pat and husband, Rick Witte of Canal Fulton.
Services will be Monday, 2 p.m., at the Wadsworth First Christian Church 116 Boyer St. at High, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services, Rev. Martha J. Everhard officiating. Contributions may be made to
the American Diabetes Association, Special Olympics, Salvation Army, or Wadsworth High School Band.
