BARBERTON -- Lyle J. Swiger, 43, passed away Sept. 9.

A life resident of Barberton, he was a member of the Johnson United Methodist Church, and various professional education associations. He did his undergraduate work at Salem College, and received his Masters Degree from the  University of Akron. He taught school in the Wadsworth School System 17 years, and formerly Springfield Twp. Schools three years.

Mr. Swiger was preceded in death by father, Loy, and mother, Ruth; and is survived by numerous aunts and uncles in Barberton and West Virginia; and special friend, Karen Thacker.

Funeral services Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Greathouse Funeral Home, Salem, W. Va., Rev. Ellas Hutson officiating. Burial K of P Cemetery. Visitation THURSDAY, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman Funeral Home. Further visitation FriDAY, evening and SaturDAY, until time of service at the  Greathouse Funeral Home, Salem, W.
