Brian Byrd Bennett

Brian Byrd Bennett, 69 of Lodi passed away Aug. 13, 2024 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Medina, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Lodi on July 7, 1955 to the late Charles and Mary (Byrd) Bennett. Brian grew up in Lodi and was a graduate of Cloverleaf/Wadsworth High School vocational program in 1973.
He resided a few years in Florida and later moved to North Carolina where he sold real estate for 10 years, returning to Lodi in 2012. He enjoyed working in small engine repair and automotive work, and could fix or build most anything. He also was proficient with computers and did web design for several years. He was a friend and good neighbor to many and was always willing to help in any way he could. Brian was a member of the Lodi United Methodist Church, and supported the Lodi Historical Society.

He is survived by his sister, Shelley Bennett and brother-in-law, David Ziegler; nephew, Tim Bennett; uncle and aunt, Jack and Shirley (Bennett) Matzek, and many cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David in 2008.
