John M. Halstead Sr., 28, of 249 Third St., Wadsworth died, Sunday, Oct. 18 1981, in Barberton Citizens Hosptial following a traffic accident. Mr Halstead was born in Virginia and resided in Wadsworth 15 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Wadsworth High School, and was machine operator for the Hobart Corp, Medina where he worked for eight years. Surviving are his wife, Kathy L, son John M. Jr. stepdaugther, Tonia Stanger, parents Mr and Mrs David L Halstead Sr, brother, David L Halstead Jr., all of Wadsworth, and his grandfather, Kermit Halstead of Murray, KY. Services will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday by the Rev. Martha J Everhard. Burial will be Woodlawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
