Bruce died in a car accident
This was from a newspaper article in the Sun Banner;
Two Wadsworth youths were killed and a third gravely injured when the car in which they were riding crashed into a tree near the Rt 162 and State intersection, East of Sharon Center about 2:30 am Tuesday. Dead are Richard Kasacavage, 19, of 205 Wolf and Bruce Phillips, 17, of 820 Eastview and injured was John Rigden, 19, of Ridge Rd.

I can still remember that day like it was yesterday. I must have cried for a year. My 1st experience with death. Saw Jon Rigden at 1973 get-together a few months ago, and he's doing quite well! That 6 month coma didn't stop him!
