Dave lived a couple miles from my house growing up. I really didn't know him except for seeing him on the bus and around Valley View Elementary. In high school we worked at Taco Bell together. Dave was quiet around most people, but he was funny once you got to know him. We would screw around during late night shifts. I am amazed that we got people's food orders right on nights when we would sneak beer or other stuff into work. What I remember most about Dave is how he got me back into liking Star Wars again. In the early nineties it wasn't popular anymore. He let me borrow his videos, comics, and books. Got me hooked just like when we were kids. It was a shame he didn't get a chance to see it get popular again. Dave had a rough home life and did something horrible when he didn't have his right senses. I was away at college when I heard.
