-- Marylea Stitzel (Schick), 45, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000.

She was born Aug. 7, 1954, to parents John and Jean Schick. In addition to her parents, Marylea leaves her husband, John; daughter, Julie and son, John; brothers, Walter and James Schick; sisters, Suzanne Murphy, Gail Williams, Beverly Schumann and Barbara Scheid. She was preceded in death by brothers, William "Buzz" and Edward Schick. She is also survived by 40 nieces and nephews and innumerable family and friends.

Marylea was a registered nurse from The University of Akron. She dedicated most of her life to caring for the elderly of the community. She was the founder of Tri-County Affiliates and the Sterling Oaks Community in Wadsworth. Her courage and generosity of spirit have touched the lives of many, and she will be sorely missed.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hilliard and Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. A memorial Mass will be held Thursday 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St., Wadsworth. Donations may be made to Tri County Hospice, 1 Park Center, Suite 20, Wadsworth 44281.
