Becky Boumont (Miller)

Becky Boumont Miller was born April 27, 1962 and passed away in Wahpeton on August 9, 2012 at the age of 50.

Becky was born April 27, 1962 the daughter of Dennis and Karen (Fluto) Boumont. She grew up in Wahpeton and attended Wahpeton schools where she participated in track and cheerleading. She graduated from Wahpeton Senior High in 1980 and enrolled at Moorhead State University and Josef’s School of Hair Design.

She was united in marriage to Steven Miller July 21, 1984 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton. The couple raised two daughters and farmed near Tyler, N.D.

Throughout her life, Becky spent many summers at Otter Tail Lake, Minn.; at first with her parents and siblings and in recent years with her husband and daughters. She also valued the time her family was able to spend traveling, especially in Arizona. Becky loved to watch her daughters participate in sports and to follow them in their activities. She took great pride in her daughters and loved being a wife and mother.

She enjoyed gardening and worked hard at maintaining her yard. Becky was delighted to have many family pets over the years and cherished the joy they brought her each and every day. She will be remembered for her profound kindness and selflessness.

Becky is survived by her husband Steven, rural Wahpeton; her two daughters, Amanda and Alicia, both of rural Wahpeton; her mother, Karen (Dennis) Zimmer, Sun Lakes, Ariz.; her brother, Greg Boumont, Wahpeton; and her sister, Connie (Jeff) Bump, Webster, Wisc.

We will miss Becky's great smile & super sense of humor. It was so awesome to see all the classmates this week in honor of Becky.  Her memories will live on with us forever. We know that she is catching up with her dad, Denny.
