DATE OF REUNION
Posted Tuesday, June 23, 2009 12:32 PM

Hello everyone!

As I mentioned on my previous post, I would come up with a date for our reunion.

AUGUST 15, 2010

IN

LAS VEGAS, NV

Details are not available as of yet.   It will depend on how many people are interested in attending.  If we can get at least 50 classmates, along with a guest, I might consider planning a dinner banquet with some kind if entertainment.   BUT, something like that will cost $$$$$.  Minimum cost would be between $5000-$6000 + tax & gratuity.  If we get 100 to attend, each person would have to pay between $50-$65.   On the other hand, if we have only a few people attending, we can all meet up at a restaurant, have a nice dinner and each person will be responsible for their own check.  Either way - something is gonna be planned!  :-)

P.S. Does anyone know if there were funds given by the school to go towards a reunion?   Did we even have one yet?  lol!

Well, the last reunion was on our 11th year and that took place at Dave-n-Busters here in Hawaii.  There was about 20 classmates and significant others who attended.  We had fun.  Although some of us fundraised, the $ was missing in action  that night so it was everyone for themselves.  But it worked out.

However, if anyone is interested in fundraising, I'd gladly help. I know a car wash here on a Saturday at Haleiwa Gym can raise close to a thousand dollars one crack.  Just a suggestion.  But we would need the turnout.  Has to be a group effort.

Hey Sheryl,

Sorry for not being specific about who we can bring to the reunion.  Yes, you can bring your spouse.

Thanks for the info on the fundraising idea.  The only thing is, there are a few of us (like myself) who are no longer living in Hawaii.  There would need to be ONE person in charge of coordinating the carwash, and hold on to the funds received until we figure out what we're gonna do for the reunion.     I'm thinking about doing a catalog based fundraising.  Something like cookie dough, pizza, or even scented candles!  I'll see how that goes.

Hmmmm..  so, the money went missing huh?  wow!  How sad it that.  Maybe it will pop up somewhere and we'll have some money to put towards our reunion.  Anything helps!

Lemme know what you plan to do and I'll do my best to get the word out!
