Marvin always had a way to make people laugh. I saw him many times while his step-son and my daughter were in classes together. I know the kids miss him and feel horrible that life had such a tragic end for him.
Marvin Lawes, 41, of King George County died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in King George.
Mr. Lawes, born and raised in Wallingford, Conn., was the owner and operator of New Side Inc. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in King George.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Lawes of Wallingford; and two sisters, Lorene Christiaansen of Michigan and Rita R. Sutherland of King George.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. Other arrangements will be held at a later date in Connecticut.
